We are extremely excited to announce that we are teaming up with Last Call Trivia on a new Community Trivia Night on Wednesday evenings at The Record Pub beginning in February! To make it even more fun, each month we will be partnering with a local non-profit to help raise funds for a host of great organizations over the course of the year. Each Community Trivia Night at The Record Pub will begin at 7 p.m., and our first event is Wednesday, Feb. 7.
As we get started with our Community Trivia Nights, we are thrilled to partner with the Sellwood Community House for the month of February. A portion of the trivia proceeds from each Wednesday in February will go to Sellwood Community House, our awesome neighbors who continue their century-long tradition of service to the community. The organization strives to continually adapt to the changing needs of the community, offering education, recreation, classes, camps, drop-in activities, rental spaces, community events and more as a place for people of all ages to make friends, meet friends and build community.
It’s been a challenging time for Sellwood Community House over the last couple of weeks, as the recent weather resulted in a burst water pipe and significant water damage to the historic neighborhood building, so everything helps. As a result of the damage, the Sellwood Community House building will be closed for an indefinite period of time, and the organization is relying on this type of community support to keep its programs going at off-site locations and to keep its staff on board.
Our Community Trivia Nights are free to play and include great prizes for first, second and third place each Wednesday. The Community Trivia Nights are team-based, and we encourage people to arrive early to make sure your group gets a good spot!
